ADMISSIONS
GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
None of the school’s objective can be fully realized without total parental co-operation. A few points for parental co-operation are listed below
A – General :
- Please read and understand the contents of this diary Classifications if any, may be sought from the school.
- Ensure that the diary is carried to school by your ward every day. Please check the diary every day for entries from the school and also use the diary for communicating with the school staff.
- Ensure strict adherence to the prescribed uniforms, cleanliness and personal hygiene of your ward.
- See that all required text/notebooks and stationery are carried each day to the school according to the time table.
- Check if home-work and other assignments are completed.
- In case your ward is lagging behind in any subject, immediate steps should be taken in consultation with class teachers and subject teachers to make good deficiency.
- You are requested to refrain from making critical comments on the teacher’s observations in the diary because it is not in good taste.
- You are welcome to communicate in person your constructive suggestions for improving the performance of the child.
- Furnish to the school the latest office and residential addresses and telephone numbers by making an entry in the diary. There are vital and in the interest of the safety of the students.
- Pocket money to your wards is to be restricted and should only be sufficient to cover minor requirements. No money is to be given for events organized by the school unless asked for by the school.
- Expensive articles like transistors, video games, cameras, cell phones, calculators, jewellery are not to be brought to school. In case of violation of this rule the articles will be confiscated.
- The school bears no responsibility for articles lost in school.
- Arrangements for pick up and drop of student to and from school is not the responsibility of the school.
- Distribution of gifts to children and teachers on birthdays is strictly prohibited.
- Progress cards to be collected on time.
- Ensure attendance at all PTM’s and effective report established with the teachers.
B – Late Admission
- Parents must produce the Progress Report or the marks statement of the previous school while seeking admission in the middle of the year. This is essential for helping their ward during promotion.
C- Withdrawl from school
- On Disciplinary Grounds : A student may be suspended/expelled from the school by the management, on advise by the principal and Discipline Committee, for the conduct or behaviour considered detrimental to school discipline.]
- Non payment of fees : Non payment of fees after the end of the payment quarter will render a student liable for removal from the school.
- Re-admission is possible but subject to clearance of all dues and availability of seat.
D – Transfer Certificate
- Application for TC is available at the office
- Application for TC is to be given at least a month in advance TC will be issued only on clearance of all dues.
- Duplicate copy of TC is not normally issued. Duplicate copy may be issued on production of an affidavit that the original TC has been lost.
- Parents applying for TC before the school’s promotions for the session will be issued TC/Progress Cards stating that the results are awaited.
- Students seeking admission into classes IX and above from other states should have their TC endorsed by the Regional office, CBSE or District Education Officer.
E-Fees:
- Tuition Fees and conveyance Charges shall be paid for the whole month irrespective of the date of admission in that month Admission fees, Tuition Fees, Conveyance charges or any other charges once deposited shall not be refunded.
- A calendar month’s notice in writing or a month’s fee in lieu of notice shall be given by the parent for withdrawal of his ward from the school
- Those who leave the school in April or May will have to pay the fees upto and including the month of June. Similarly, those who leave the school in November or December shall pay the fees upto and including the month of January. Withdrawal letter form the school will be issued only when all dues are paid.
F – P.T.M :
- The parents/guardians of the student are not allowed to go to the class rooms or to meet a teacher during the teaching hours.
- Parents who regularly fail to attend Parent – Teacher meetings will be considered to be not interested in their ward’s education as this is pernicious to the school in general and the student in particular, the student may be asked to discontinue.
- On completion of the terminal examination, report card should be personally collected by the Parents / Guardians.
- Besides the meetings arranged regularly, parents are expected to attend emergency / special meetings as per the requests made through the diary or through special notes.
G – Interruption to School Routine.
- Parents are requested to keep the students at home in case of illness. In case the illness is aggravated during the course of the day, it will be difficult for the school to contact the parent or take the student to the hospital.
- Parents are advised to refrain from requesting for permission to send children late or take them away early.
- Permission for students to arrive late or leave early is to be requested (through the diary) only under rare and unavoidable circumstances.
- Parents are advised not to request for permission to take their ward to the hospital/doctor/and then to bring the ward back after treatment as the routine of the school will get disturbed.
- Parents are requested not to fix appointments for the ward with the doctoring during school working hours.
In order to maintain high discipline in school, parental monitoring and co-operation are solicited.
SCHOOL RULES FOR STUDENTS
The following abridged but salient rules are for strict compliance :
A. School Diary
- The school diary is to be brought to the school every day.
- All entries in the diary from the school should be shown to the parents and entries made by the parents to be brought to the notice of the relevant school staff.
B. Attendance
- Regular attendance to school is most essential. The minimum requirement of attendance in the academic year is 90%.
- Leave of absence is given to students on prior application from the parents. In unavoidable circumstances, the absence would be regularized on the day of rejoining the school with a valid leave note from the parent.
- All leave applications are to be submitted on separate sheet of paper for the class Teacher’s record. If the leave exceeds for more than one day.
- Student absent on account of illness is to submit valid medical and fitness certificates.
- Students suffering from any sickness, especially any communicable disease, should not attend school during the period of illness even if it is during tests/exams. They must rejoin only when fully recovered and come to school with a certificate of fitness from a doctor.
- Absence without prior intimation for a longer period of time 3 months or more, will result in the removal of student’s name from the rolls.
- Retest will only be conducted on the basis of health grounds (on submitting the medical certificate) or if the students has represented the school in sports and has been unavailable during the period of the exam.
C. Discipline
- The school aims at behavioural elegance and the inculcation of discipline, individually and in groups, while at school.
- irregular attendance, neglect of home work, disobedience or disrespect towands staff or bad moral influence, may lead to strict disciplinary action.
- Any damage to school property will be rectified by the offending student. It may also entail disciplinary action.
- Students are strictly forbidden from leaving the school premises or playgrounds during school hours. Permission to do so will be granted only by the Principal/Vice-Principal.
- The students should display polite behaviour wherever they go, as the school is judged by their conduct.
- Bullying and use of found language are offenses.
- Students should greet their teachers when they meet them.
- A Student who uses unfair means during tests and exams, will be given Zero in the subject and the parent will be summoned. Repetition of the offence will result in dismissal of the student.
- The school has a ‘Discipline committee’ which deal with disciplinary cases.
D. Punctuality
- All the students are to be present in school 5 minutes before the scheduled time. The school gate will close the second bell rings.
- Three late arrivals in a month (unless prior permission has been sought) would lead students been send back home.
E. Library
- Utmost care is to be exercised by the students while using the library books. Books will be issued from Class V onwards. The books are to be returned within 7 days. Failure to do so will lead to imposition of a fine. Books lost or damaged will have to be replaced.
