PTA

All parents whose children are students of the school automatically become members of the PTA from the day the child is admitted to the school.  They case to be members when their wards are no more on the rolls of the school.  There is no entry fee for membership.

Executive Committee may also decide to make adhoc collection to enhance the fund.  Maximum use should be made of all Parent Teachers Meeting.

SMART CLASSES

Technology plays a vital role in the modern era in order to incorporate technology as an integral part of teaching and learning in the classroom.  ‘Smart Classes’ are being introduced from the forth coming academic year.

NEWS READING

The school with the aim of inculcating reading habit amongst students has started regular newspaper reading slot of 15 minutes for classes V to VIII immediately after the Assembly.  This is mainly with the objective of building vocabulary, creating general awareness and also for inculcating the habit of using newspaper as a source of Education.

SCIENCE LAB

Science Lab is set up in the school premises to teach Science in a Practical method.  It includes 15 varieties of outdoor science gadgets.  For instance ‘Bell Tower’, helps students in understanding how sounds vary for different materials.  By using ‘Rotating Chair’ students can experience changes in angular velocity etc.

SPORTS ACTIVITIES

Sports an integral part of our curriculum.  Regular PT Classes will be encouraged.  Yearly sports day is organized to improve the skills of the children.

LIBRARY

The school has a well-equipped library and a healthy schedule for reading.  A large number of reference material, fiction and non-fiction books, text books, magazines and publications are available to the students.  The school library is open to all students of classes V and above on all school working days.  All classes will be provided with library periods in the time-table.

The library is open till 1:00p.m on all working days except Saturday for utilization by students.

EXCURSIONS / PICNIC

The senior students of the school will be taken out for excursions outside the Town to nearby tourist spot whereas the junior students will go on picnic to a spot within the Town.
